I got a discouraging email from a friend today. Actually, she has been sending me rather discouraging emails all week. The emails are all on the topic of faith, yet have no physical or concrete attachments. She quotes scripture and that is about it – nothing for me to hold onto. I am not at the point where I can grasp this and her positive intentions are perceived taken negatively by me.
In my opinion, she depends too much on faith – which I am not comfortable with. It makes her hard to approach for fear the only thing she will do is quote mumble bumble scripture. Her faith is like a wall and she has become too far removed to interact with — I feel as though I have lost a friend.
